William Smith 85, went to be with his Savior on Wednesday June 10, 2020.  Formerly of Dracut, MA, he was a member of Collinsville Bible Church, a believer in full support of his missionaries there.
He was the eldest son of the late Zachery and Christine (Bryant) Smith.
Bill was born in Hope Hull, AL on December 25, 1934, moving to Lowell Ma. at a very early age.
He graduated from Lowell High School in 1952.
An avid baseball player and Sox fan, he did a short run with the National League.
Bill was married to his high school sweetheart in September 1956, the late Mary Madeline (Edmunds) Smith who died in 1992.
He then served with the US Marines in the Korean War and went on to school at Merrimack College.
After graduation, he went to work for Raytheon in Waltham, MA. then to Raytheon in Andover, MA retiring in 1996 after 38 years.  He also started his own business "Dracut Town & Country Janitorial Services" in the 70's giving summer jobs to relatives, neighbors and the local high school kids.
After moving to NH he met and married Anna Mae (White) Smith, settling eventually in Franklin and becoming a member of the Hill Village Bible Church.
Bill enjoyed playing baseball, and having his bible study groups before playing a game of volleyball in the backyard, traveling, sightseeing and visiting his surviving daughters Patrice M. Rushin Smith of Alexandria, VA, Faith Anne Marshall (Ramon) and Tammy J. Whittaker both of Cheverly, MD.  

His grandsons Gabriel Whittaker of Washington, DC, Nathaniel Whittaker of Baltimore, MD and Saggitarius Carlisle of Grand Rapids, MI.  He also leaves his stepchildren Deborah (Philip) Roberts of Laconia, NH; Joseph (Sharon) Cimbak of Church Point, LA; Jerome (Gina) Cimbak of Milford, CT; Step Grandchildren Kimberly (Chris) Picard of Somersworth, NH; Heidi (Michael) Hebert of Lebanon, ME; Brian (Rachel) Cimbak of Huntington, CT; Cara Cimbak of Thornwood, NY; Justin, Joshua and Jake Cimbak all with the U.S. Coast Guard; Sharla Cimbak of Houston, TX;  and seven step great grandchildren.

His brother Manny Smith of Baltimore, MD and his baby sister, Mary Hector (Alfredo) of Houston, TX.

His nieces whom he hounded for years to come to church, "please come and get to know God", Robin, Kacey, Rebecca and Claude Brown all of Lowell, MA.  Many more nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter Cheryl R. Smith Carlisle (Frank), his eldest grandchild Jordan Rushin, his son in law Brian Rushin, sisters Crystal, Theresa, Bertha and Priscilla and by brothers Johnny and Zachery Jr.
The Smith family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen for their kindness and support.
Due to the COVID-19 strict regulations; Services will be held at the Hill Village Bible Church with burial following at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery for close family and relatives only.
