Eileen M. (Baldiga) Desmarais, 75 a longtime resident of Bellingham, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at her new home in New Hampshire with her loving family by her side after a long courageous battle with Cancer. Eileen, was born September 18, 1945 in Milford and was the daughter of the late Benjamin Baldiga and Margaret (Conley) Baldiga. She graduated high school in 1963 and married the love of her life for 54 years, the late Roland Desmarais. They owned Desmarais Body Works in Bellingham where she managed the business while raising their two daughters. She then went to work for the Khoury family, who became her extended family, at Photorama in Bellingham. This is where she developed a love for photography and helping people. When Photorama closed she then went on to work at Walgreens in the photo lab until retiring in 2019.
Eileen enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her beautifully landscaped yard, reading books, visiting the ocean, baking, and watching her beloved Red Sox, Patriots and Bruins games. Eileen was a loving soul who touched many lives, she had a heart of gold. She could light up a room with her beautiful smile and personality. She always put her loved ones and others before herself. Most importantly Eileen was a terrific Mother, Grandmother and friend to all. She is survived by her two daughters, Susan Smart and her husband Todd of Northfield, New Hampshire and Michelle Bushman-Desmarais of Franklin, New Hampshire. She leaves her cherished grandchildren Samantha Smart, Cody Smart and Kaila Bushman. Eileen is the sister of Richard Baldiga of San Antonio, Texas and sister in law of Leonard Desmarais and Ernest Desmarais both of Bellingham. She also leaves her treasured Aunt Sophie, several special cousins, nieces and nephews.
Per Eileen’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral.
