Richard Francis Tessier
Richard F. Tessier, 78, a longtime former resident of Franklin, died on Monday, December 3, 2018 at the Wolfeboro Bay Center in Wolfeboro after a period of failing health. Richard was born in Franklin on January 8, 1940 the son of Albert and Marie (Comtois) Tessier. Richard was a graduate of Franklin High School with the class of 1958. He was a proud member of the United States Air Force, serving 3 terms in Vietnam. After his tours in Vietnam he was stationed at Alconbury Airforce Base in England where he met his beloved Jane and adopted his son. During his years of service Richard earned many awards and honors, and after 20 years of dedicated service he retired with the rank of Master Sergeant. After his military career, he was employed as an x-ray technician for Wyman Gordon in Tilton. Richard was a sweet and gentle soul; with a kind and giving heart. He adored his son and in his later years loved nothing more than visiting with his family. Richard was a member of the American Legion in Hillsboro and the VFW. He is survived by his son, Jason D. Tessier his wife Jennifer of Henniker and their four children. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
According to Richard's wishes there will be no services at this time. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
