Ruth D. (Anderson) Wiehl

Ruth D. Wiehl, 86, of 48 Liberty Avenue in Franklin died Monday, February 22, 2010 at the Franklin Regional Hospital in Franklin following a period of failing health. She was born in New York City, June 15, 1923, daughter of Ernest and Edith (Peterson) Anderson. Ruth moved from Connecticut to the Northfield-Franklin areas in 1982. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper for her late husband John who founded Franklin Non-Ferrous Foundry. After her husband sold the business to their son John in 1991, Ruth continued in that capacity until her retirement. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary of Milford, NY. She was predeceased by husband of 50 years, John J. Wiehl who died in 1996.
Her family includes,

Edward R. Wiehl and his wife Karen of New Hartford, NY
Robert P. Wiehl and his wife Linda of Tipp City, OH
Fred E. Wiehl and his wife Lynn of Liverpool, NY
Nine grandchildren

Calling hours will be Saturday, February 27th from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home, Franklin-Tilton Road in Tilton. A service will follow at 5:00 PM in the Memorial Home. Spring burial will be in Franklin Cemetery in Franklin.
