Herman Kenneth Wiser
H. Kenneth Wiser, 94, a resident of Franklin since 1941, died Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the Golden View Health Care Center in Meredith following a battle with cancer. He was born in Bridgewater, NH, January 13, 1916, son of Elmer P. and Alice M. (Veasey) Wiser. He attended Bridgewater and Ashland Schools and graduated from Ashland High School, class of 1933. Following graduation he was employed by Wirthmore Stores for several years. Ken moved to Franklin in 1941. He retired in 1976 following 35 years as a truck driver for Holmes Transportation Company. He enjoyed gardening and ground work at his home in Franklin. He traveled to many places of interest including Hawaii, U. S. Virgin Islands, Canada and places in the U. S. The last few years he enjoyed his vacations in Pittsburg, NH at Lopstick Lodge Cabins where he saw his first moose in 2006. Ken was a member of the Congregational Christian Church, UCC in Franklin for 62 years. He was predeceased by his first wife, Madeline (Whiting) Wiser in 1976 and his second wife, Ruth (Baker) Weglarz-Wiser in 1990. He was also predeceased by a sisters, Bernice Eastman, and Georgiana Comet and brothers, Bryon and Ernest Wiser.

He also leaves his devoted companion, Jean Carignan of Tilton.
Services and burial will be private for Ken’s family
Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton.
