Angus E. MacIver
Angus E. MacIver, 69, of 19 Oriole Street in Franklin died at his home, Saturday, January 16, 2010 following a short illness. He was born in Littleton, July 5, 1940, son of the late Murdock and Evelyn (Melanson) MacIver. Angus moved to Franklin at a young age where he lived for a short time. He later moved to Hill, attending schools there and in Franklin. He had been a resident of Franklin since 1960. Angus was a U. S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1957 to 1960. He worked as a tool and die maker for the former Scott and Williams Co. in Laconia and later at New Hampshire Ball Bearing in Laconia. He then worked at Webster Valve Co. in Franklin for over 20 years before his retirement. An outdoorsman, Angus enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the NRA and Targeteers of Franklin. According to his wishes, there will not be calling hours or public services for Angus. Burial will be private for his family.
Arrangements are under the care of the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home in Tilton.
