Wayne Stanton Jackson Sr.

Wayne S. Jackson Sr., 78,  a resident of Franklin for over 45 years, died, Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Franklin Regional Hospital following a long period of failing health. Wayne was born in Medford MA., March 24, 1939, son of the late, Theodore and Julia (Brown) Jackson. He was brought up in Sharon, MA.

He enlisted in the U. S. Navy, serving with the rank of AN and involved with aviation maintenance and support aboard ship, as well as  electronics training. He served honorably  from 1957 to 1959, transferring to the Reserves.

Wayne lived for a time in Henniker, NH  moving there from Massachusetts, before becoming a resident of Franklin.

Wayne was a long distance tractor trailer driver and traveled the country for many years.  He enjoyed traveling,  the outdoors, and spending time on the water fishing and yard work at his home. He always looked forward to the deer approaching while he worked in his garden. He leaves his wife of 57 years, Barbara A. (Lonergan) Jackson of Franklin

daughter, Laura Jackson Gaudette and husband Randy of Sanbornton

Sons, Wayne S. Jackson Jr. and his wife Wanda of Franklin

         Michael G. Jackson of Hereford, AZ

        Gregory A. Jackson and his partner Amanda of Manchester

       Todd W. Jackson and his wife Tara of Sutton

Wayne was a devoted grandfather to: Eric, Kariann, Kelsey, Kaitlin, Gregory, Bryanna, Brian, Abigail, Brandon and Garrett

And a loving great grandfather to Joey

Brothers, Joel, Roderick, Gary and Stephen

Sisters, Judith Sanders, Marilyn Lombard, Carol Jackson, Donna Panagopoulos and Cynthia Jilson all of MA

Following through with Wayne's wishes, there are no calling hours planned. A gathering for honors will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery 110 Daniel Webster Highway  in Boscawen, NH.

Assisting the family is the William F. Smart Sr. Memorial Home of Tilton, NH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Wayne's name may be made to the NH Veteran's Cemetery Association, Inc, P. O. Box

626, Concord, NH 03302-0626.
